The company

UNDERWATER-X is a company specialized in the development of next-generation autonomous maritime vehicles.
It designs surface and underwater drones integrating disruptive technologies as well as hardware and software solutions for navigation assistance, intended for the civilian and defense sectors.
Its drones offer unprecedented capabilities in autonomy, stealth, and adaptability for the most demanding environments.
It designs and develops autonomous maritime vehicles intended for exploration, surveillance, and underwater data collection.

Our ambition to redefine the standards of naval robotics through disruptive technologies in mechanical design, embedded artificial intelligence, and communication systems.

Underwater and Surface Drones

The THALOS (coastal) and PONTOS (oceanic) drones are versatile, modular, and scalable platforms.
They are designed for observation, surveillance, inspection, and intervention missions in complex environments.
Their unique mechanical design—with no lateral rudders—and their fully innovative vector propulsion system give them exceptional maneuverability and total static stability, even in extreme current conditions.
They can operate down to 600 meters depth in their coastal version, and much deeper in their oceanic version with titanium hulls.

Software Architecture

UNDERWATER-X’s artificial intelligence is based on the ISTAR GATE framework, a C2/AI system (Command & Control/Artificial Intelligence) combining autonomous decision-making and collaborative multi-agent control.
The deployed AI relies on a low-data-intensity model, perfectly suited for autonomous operation, decision-making in uncertain environments, and reducing cloud dependencies, allowing operations to continue offline if necessary.
Each subsystem is treated as an object designed under the SCOOP IoT protocol, ensuring interoperability, cybersecurity, and real-time operational supervision.
